About the event

Beginning this series with a familiar favorite; gentle enough for children, yet potent enough to ease the tensions associated with adulthood, on Saturday, April 27th, we are featuring Chamomile!

We will discuss usage, preparations, herbal actions and indications, cultivation and historical usage. There will be optional taste testing and aromatherapeutic application. You will receive handouts, tea, and a potted organic chamomile to grow this spring.

Please bring a notepad and pen if you want to take notes, and feel free to share any stories you may have with this darling plant.

Kristina has been studying herbalism since 2006, starting with a modest herb garden, and an interest in incense and cooking, but in 2012 she began to take plants more seriously in response to her declining health. With the help of the plants, dear friends and healers of all kinds, she was fit enough to take an herbal immersion course in 2016, with Lancaster Farmacy. Since then, she has taken numerous in-person and online courses. She is currently enrolled in the Vitalist Herbal Practitioner program with the School of Evolutionary Herbalism. For Kristina, herbalism is a lifelong practice and commitment to a lifestyle that honors and continually learns from Nature, whether its in the garden, reading a book or watching birds collect seeds and grubs, climbing a mountain or observing the morphology of a plant. She is dedicated to bring plants to people, and bring people to the plants.
